Timing tip: Patch syncs from Jonas about every 6 hours. Use quiet hours and a delay on “thanks for coming in today” journeys.

Check-ins

Best for: They were in the building.

Good examples: post-visit follow-up, lapsed-member win-back, visit milestones.

Not ideal for: “They bought a package today” (use Order Finished) or “they have an appointment tomorrow” (use Calendar Event).

Denied / not-allowed visits do not sync.

Trigger Block: Checkin Finished

Memberships

Best for: Contract lifecycle — welcome, renewal, expiry.

Trigger Blocks: Membership Started, Membership Ended

Appointments

Best for: Scheduled one-to-one (or appointment-book) sessions.

Good examples: reminder before an appointment (build in sync delay), follow-up after a cancelled appointment.

Not ideal for: Walk-in check-ins, or assuming every group class roster is in Patch. This connection syncs appointments, not a full class-enrollment list.

Trigger Block: Calendar Event

Orders (packages)

Best for: Someone bought a package.

Everyday desk sales that are not packages usually will not create an order in Patch.

Good examples: thank-you after a package purchase, unused-package nudge if your rep confirms remaining units are on the contact.

Not ideal for: “They spent money today” for every POS sale.

Trigger Block: Order Finished

Simple decision guide

  1. They walked in? → Checkin Finished
  2. Their contract started or ended? → Membership Started / Ended
  3. They booked a time on the appointment book? → Calendar Event
  4. They bought a package? → Order Finished
  5. Looking for every retail / POS sale or a class roster? → Not in this Jonas connection
