How to use Filter Rules in Patch

In your Patch account, filter rules utilizing Contact/Customer data enable you to create Lists or Segments for various purposes, such as sending messages, applying loyalty rewards, generating reports, and more. The value of the data fields stored in your Contact Profile is essential for determining the functions and features accessible to you. Think of Filter Rules based on Data Field Values as the essential fuel that keeps your operations running smoothly.

Whenever you encounter a Filter or Filter Rules, you will notice two key sections:

- Match ALL of these rules - This indicates that every contact must satisfy all the criteria specified in this section.

- Match ANY of these rules - This means that contacts may meet any one or more of the criteria listed.

The data fields displayed in the first dropdown menu will vary depending on your location within the Patch Portal. This variability is intentional, as only specific data types will yield results relevant to the tool or feature you are using.
