How to Update an Existing Automation with Patch AI

1. Open the automation and launch Patch AI 0:12
- Open the existing automation you want to modify.
- Launch the Patch AI widget.
- Prepare to describe the change you want made to the automation.
2. Enter a clear follow-up prompt 0:23
- Type a specific instruction for the update.
- Example prompt used in the video:
- After the welcome email is sent, wait one day, then send an SMS reminding them to book.
- The clearer the prompt, the better Patch AI can update the automation.
3. Review Patch AI’s suggested changes 0:39
- Patch AI will generate updates to the existing automation.
- In the example, it added:
- A 1-day delay
- An SMS follow-up
- Review the suggested changes before applying them.
4. Apply, approve, and close each updated block 0:52
- Apply the changes Patch AI suggests.
- Before enabling the automation, review each new block carefully.
- For each block:
- Approve and close
- Check the content
- Approve and close again as needed
- Once everything looks correct, enable the automation.
5. Confirm the update is complete 1:05
- The automation is now updated with the new follow-up step.
- Best practice:

- Review the updated automation before saving or enabling
- This ensures the automation behaves as intended
