Embedding a YouTube video into your Patch form can enhance the user experience by providing visual content that supports your message. Follow these simple steps to successfully embed a YouTube video.
Step 1: Find Your YouTube Video
Start by navigating to the YouTube video you want to embed. Once you’ve found it, click on the ‘Share’ button located beneath the video.
Step 2: Get the Embed Code
- In the share options, select the ‘Embed’ tab. This will display an HTML code snippet. You can customize the video size and settings before copying the code. Make sure to select any options you’d like, such as player controls or privacy-enhanced mode.
- Click on the ‘Copy’ button to copy the embed code to your clipboard.
Step 3: Access Your Patch Form
Open the Patch form where you want to include the video. Make sure you are at Step 1 of the editor.
Step 4: Insert the Embed Code
In Step 1 of the Form Editor, locate either the Top Content or Bottom Content section. Within the rich text editor, click on the `</>` icon to switch to the HTML editor. Here, you can paste your YouTube embed code. If you use the Top Content editor, your video will be displayed above the form fields, while using the Bottom Content editor will place the video below the form fields.
Step 6: Preview Your Form From the SmartLink
After inserting the embed code, save your changes and take a moment to preview the form to verify that the video displays correctly. Ensure that the video plays smoothly and that all interactive features are functioning as expected. To do this, navigate to Step 4: Installation in the Form Editor, and copy the shareable link. Then, open a new tab in your browser and paste the link to view the form.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
After confirming that the video is embedded correctly, save your changes to the Patch form.
