How to Connect OPENCOURT to Patch

Use this guide to connect your OPENCOURT account to Patch. This connection allows OPENCOURT to send information to the correct Patch account.

Before you start

You will need:

  • Access to your OPENCOURT account
  • Access to your Patch account
  • The OPENCOURT addon enabled in Patch

Step 1: Get your Patch integration details

Your Patch onboarding or support contact will send you two items:

  • Patch API Key
  • Patch Account ID

These are unique to your Patch account. Keep them secure and do not share them outside of your team or trusted software providers.

Step 2: Open the Patch Retention integration in OPENCOURT

  1. Log in to OPENCOURT.
  2. Go to your integration settings.
  3. Find the Patch Retention integration.
  4. Open the integration setup page.

Step 3: Enter your Patch details

In the OPENCOURT Patch Retention integration:

  1. Enter your Patch API Key.
  2. Enter your Patch Account ID.
  3. Save and approve your changes.
  4. Click the button to backfill your data.

After the details are saved, OPENCOURT will be connected to Patch.

Multi-location accounts

If your business has more than one location, each location may have its own Patch child account.

Patch will provide a separate API Key and Account ID for each location.

When setting up multiple locations, make sure each OPENCOURT location is connected to the matching Patch account.

Example:

OPENCOURT Location Patch Details to Use
Location 1 Location 1 Patch API Key and Account ID
Location 2 Location 2 Patch API Key and Account ID
Location 3 Location 3 Patch API Key and Account ID

Do not reuse the same API Key for every location unless Patch specifically tells you to.

How to confirm the setup

After you save the integration in OPENCOURT, confirm that:

  • The Patch API Key was entered correctly.
  • The Patch Account ID was entered correctly.
  • Multi-location accounts are connected to the correct Patch location.
  • There are no extra spaces before or after the API Key or Account ID.

Troubleshooting

The integration will not connect

Check that the API Key and Account ID were copied exactly as provided by Patch. Extra spaces or missing characters can prevent the connection.

Data is showing under the wrong location

If you have multiple locations, the wrong Patch Account ID may have been entered. Confirm that each OPENCOURT location is using the matching Patch API Key and Account ID.

You do not have your API Key or Account ID

Contact your Patch onboarding or support contact and ask for your OPENCOURT integration details.
