Discount Codes for ROLLER Accounts in Patch

If your Patch account is connected to ROLLER, you can use discount codes in Automations and Blasts. Discount codes can be used to show a promotional code in a message and to help Patch track conversions tied to that campaign.

What discount codes do in Patch

For ROLLER integrated accounts, discount codes can serve two purposes:

  • give customers a code they can use with an offer

  • track conversions from a message send

If a discount code is tagged in a message, Patch uses that discount code for conversion attribution instead of orders or check-ins if your conversion settings are configured properly.

 


Important conversion tracking setting

For discount-code-based conversion attribution to work correctly:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Open Conversion Settings

  3. Make sure both boxes are unchecked

If either box is selected, Patch may track conversions using orders or check-ins instead of the tagged discount code.

Before you start

Before using discount codes in Patch, make sure:

  1. Your Patch account is connected to ROLLER

  2. The discount already exists in ROLLER

  3. You know whether you want to use it in an Automation or a Blast

  4. In Settings > Conversions/Attribution, both boxes are unchecked if you want discount-code-based conversion attribution
