Shopify Installation Video:

How to install your TextChat Widget on Shopify:

  1. Copy Widget code from CityGro Portal (app.citygro.com).
    • Go to TextChat > Widget and Click “Edit Widget”.

    • After completing “Step 1 – Design” click on “Step 2 – Installation” and copy code. Make sure your Widget is enabled at the top of the screen.

  2.  Sign in to Shopify (must be full admin).
  3. Click on Online Store > Theme.

  4. In the Actions menu, select “Edit Code.”

  5. Locate the “theme.liquid” file and paste the code directly under the <body> tag. Use “Command+F” (Mac) or Control+F (PC) to find “<body” and paste the code after the “>” following the <body.

  6. Click “Save” and then “Preview”.

  7. Check the preview to ensure Widget is installed correctly.
