Contacts Overview
This overview will go over the basics of the Contacts Module page.
Where do contacts come from?
- Contacts in your CityGro database might come from a variety of sources. These might be:
- List import
- Loyalty Kiosk
- SMS Keyword
- Waivers
- Forms
- API
- Manual input (Click Here for tutorial)
Contacts Navigation
- Your Contacts view is going to look something like this:
- To edit a contact: click on the person icon to the left of the contact
(Click Here for more info) - To select a contact: click on the box to the left of the contact
- To select the page: click on the box to the left of the blue ID
- To select all your contacts: click on the 2nd box that appears after selecting the page (the red number is the number of contacts selected)
- To select the page: click on the box to the left of the blue ID
Along the left-hand side of the screen, you'll see Fields, Groups, and Import nested under Contacts.
- Fields: See, manage, and add any contact record fields here. These are places to store information on a contact's record. (Click Here for more info)
- Groups: Add and manage groups here. Think of these as buckets that you might want to put some contacts in to be able to manage differently than others.
- Import: More likely than not, this functionality will not be enabled unless you request it. We keep it off as most CityGro customers bring contacts in via other methods — kiosks, waivers, etc. (Click Here for more info)
Managing what you see
- When you first click on Contacts in the navigation bar, you'll see a complete list of every contact that's in your database. Fortunately, you can change it to fit your needs.
Change view quantity
- By default, you'll see 25 contacts at a time. You can adjust that with the dropdown on the bottom right of the screen:
Filters
- Filters allow you to see certain segments of your contact list that meet prescribed criteria. Maybe you want to see all contacts added within the last 30 days. Or all contacts that have checked in more than five times.
- This tool is robust. There are a lot of ways that you can filter your contacts so try to keep things simple. (Click Here for an overview and tutorial)
