What are "Automations"?
The Automations tool allows you to build marketing automation funnels using a visual canvas.
When should I use "Automations"?
The following are examples of when you would use Automations
- When you want to automate communication with your contacts
- Send personalized messages to connect with contacts
- Nurture and convert new leads
- Create loyal customers
How do I set up "Automations"?
Getting There:
- Go to the Automations Tool of the CityGro Portal.
- Click "+ New Automations"
- Select a "Trigger" and drag it onto the canvas

'New Contact' = When a new contact gets created
'Kiosk Check-In' = Refers to a 'Check-In Completed' Event
'Completed Form' = After a form gets completed, this block would trigger
'Signed Document' = Similar to the Completed Form
'Contact Texted In' = Refers to a Keyword being texted in
'Offer Redeemed' = After a SmartOffer is redeemed, this block would trigger
'Conversation Completed' = Refers to a TextChat conversation that is 'Marked as Complete'
'SmartLink Clicked' = Triggers once someone clicks on a SmartLink
'Incoming Chat' = Refers to TextChat, when someone initiates the conversation
'At Time' = Can set to run immediately, at a scheduled time, or on a repeating schedule. - Select action(s) and drag them on the canvas in the order desired

'Activate an Offer' = Choose an offer to become active
'Deactivate an Offer' = Choose an offer to become de-activated
'Send SMS' = Create content to be sent via text
'Send Email' = Create content to be sent via email
'Eject' = Will eject a contact out of an automation if they do not meet the requirements to remain
'Set Contact Fields' = This can set any existing field within the account to be a certain status
'Set Payload Fields' = N/A mostly used internally
'Delay' = This action can be set to add a delay in the order of the automation it is in. Can be combined to include multiple delays if needed
'Filter' = This is the same thing as a filter in the Contacts section
'Http Request' = Used to push or pull data into CityGro
'Slack Message' = Posts a message within Slack to a custom Slack channel
'Select Contacts' = Similar to a filter, this will target contacts based upon certain info - Connect each block by clicking the 'blue' arrow, and then click & drag the directional icon to the correct path to complete the Automation
