An "Email Alias" is an alternative email address that routes to the primary email inbox, allowing for more versatile email management. In the context of Parent/Child account types, this feature enables a parent account to manage aliases that can be used across child accounts, ensuring consistent and controlled communication flows.

Setting Permissions on Email Aliases
To adjust permissions for an email alias within a parent account, follow these steps:
Accessing Email Alias Settings
- Log in to the master account on the Patch platform.
- Navigate to your "Account Settings" section, then click on 'Email Settings'.
- Locate the section for 'Email Alias'.
Adjusting Permissions
- Select an Alias: Identify the email alias you wish to adjust permissions for.

Modify Permissions: You'll see options to set permissions for this alias by clicking on the 'lock' icon.
- The default for a parent/master account is the 'Parent Account Can -> See and make changes'.
- You will need to adjust the second setting for 'Child Account Can' and choose from: See this but not make changes, Not see this, or See and make changes.
- The default for a parent/master account is the 'Parent Account Can -> See and make changes'.
- Apply Changes: After setting the desired permissions, save your changes. The system will automatically update the permissions across the specified child accounts.
