Our platform's Automation Trigger Blocks are designed to provide you with a seamless and efficient way to automate various tasks and processes based on specific events or actions.
‘Run this trigger’ Setting Overview
The "Run this trigger at" control allows you to set more precise conditions for your automation triggers. This feature enables you to specify not only which event should trigger an automation but also how frequently this event should occur and from which point to start counting. This level of detail ensures your automations are triggered exactly when you need them to be, aligning perfectly with your operational workflows or engagement strategies.
How It Works
- Event Selection: Begin by choosing the trigger block that corresponds to the event you want to automate. This could be anything from a user action like a form submission ("Form Finished") to a system event like a customer checking in ("Check-in Finished").
- Setting Frequency: Within your chosen trigger block, use the "Run this trigger’" option to define the frequency of your trigger. The first blank is for you to select whether you want the block to run at a certain number or every x number of times.
- Defining the Start Point: The second blank in the "Run this trigger" option allows you to specify the starting point for counting occurrences. This could be the first occurrence of the event or any other specific instance you choose to start from. If using ‘Run every X’ you will need to choose the starting point and the x number of times.
- Applying Filters: If additional filtering is required to define which events should count towards the frequency, set these up in the top part of each block using the Match ANY and/or Match ALL options. This ensures that only relevant events are considered when determining whether the trigger conditions have been met.
- Testing and Activation: Once you've set up your trigger, it's important to test it to ensure it behaves as expected. After confirming it works correctly, activate the trigger to start automating your workflow based on the specified conditions.
Use Case Example
Suppose you operate a local boutique, and you're eager to engage with repeat customers to gather valuable feedback and encourage them to share their experiences. You decide to initiate a feedback and review request journey for customers checking into your store for the second time. By employing the "Checkin Finished" trigger block, you can set the frequency control to "Every 2 starting at 1". This configuration ensures that as soon as a customer completes their second check-in at your boutique, the automation is triggered, starting them on a journey to collect feedback and prompt them to leave a review.
The "Run this trigger" feature in our Automation Trigger Blocks provides you with the flexibility to create more nuanced and precise automation workflows. By specifying the frequency and starting point of trigger events, you can ensure that your automations align perfectly with your operational needs and engagement strategies. We encourage you to explore this feature and discover how it can enhance your automation setup.
