Incorporating a Video page into your kiosk flow can enhance user engagement by providing informative or promotional content. Follow these steps to set up a Video page.
Accessing the Video Page
Navigate to Kiosk Flow Editor: Log in to your Patch account and navigate to the Kiosk module using the menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Open the Kiosk flow that you want to add the Video page to.
Add a Page: Use the purple plus button to select a new page to add to your flow.
Select "Video": Pick the "Video" option from the menu to embed a Video page in your flow, allowing for video playback.
Configuring Your Video Page
Design Tab
Background: You can customize the background to align with your branding.
Top & Bottom Content: Do not use top or bottom content on video pages.
Video Selection: Choose or upload the video you wish to display. Ensure the video is optimized for kiosk viewing, considering factors like length and resolution.
Click save and then refresh the screen to see the video display on the page.
Playback Options: Hide the Back/Next buttons until the video completes, and/or while it's playing, automatically start the video, or continue to the next page once the video is complete, and decide whether the time block will show.
Page Tab
Page Name: Name your Video page for easy navigation within your kiosk flow.
Page Settings: Customize settings such as deactivating the page within the flow if needed, managing visibility during server communication, and setting auto-transition times.
Button Labels: Personalize the labels on the back and next buttons on your video page, hide or show buttons, or hide the top menu.
Page Filter Settings: Add filters to the page to control if this page will show for all Contacts or only Contacts that match a set of criteria.
Advanced Tab
Sync Settings: Decide if the page should sync with your server upon completion. This is particularly important for updating the contact profile.
Automatically Set Field Values: This setting allows you to set data on the Contacts profile based on completing this page. You could apply a data field like a Tag to each contact that watches the video so that way you can make sure they aren't prompted to watch again on their next check-in. If you set any type of data you can then use that data to filter against later or to further segment your database.
Security Codes: Require a security code to proceed to the next page; you can add new codes if necessary.
Flow Settings
Back/Next Button Colors: Customize the background and text colors for the back and next buttons.
Idle Timeout: Set how the kiosk behaves when left idle (e.g., Do Nothing or other options like syncing if check-in started and resetting the flow without saving data).
Flow Security Codes: Apply security codes to the entire kiosk flow, ensuring data security throughout the process.
