Did you know you can segment and target Customers based on the products they have or not purchased?
This article will walk through how to create a filter based on either the SKU’s Ordered, Item Name(s) Ordered. For information on other ways to use filters, click here.
Select the Contacts module to begin. The filter rules here are the same within Blasts and Automations, the filter does not have to be created ahead of time in the Contacts module but is recommended in order to ensure you have the rules set up properly.
In the upper right corner, select the filter icon:
At the bottom of that list, create a new filter by selecting the ‘Add’ button.
Be sure to name the filter in the top field of this window
Search / Select the field:
Orders - Item Names
You will either choose to have the results Match or Not Match based on setting the operation function to either have it ‘Equal To’ an item or ‘Not Equal’ to an item name.
In the last field, enter the name of the item in question.
Tip: It is imperative that this matches EXACTLY as your e-commerce site populates this. This can be seen from the ‘Orders’ tab, any Payload within the Patch portal, or from within your ecommerce site. Your ecommerce site is going to have the full list and most accurate naming schema.
The same process occurs if searching through fields for a SKU.
Search and select the field for:
Orders - SKU’s
Be sure to enter the EXACT MATCH for the SKU.
When you are ready, hit ‘Save & Close’ and the Contacts page will display all those that match the rule.
When viewing the Contacts module, a green indicator above the filter icon is present IF there is an active filter being used.
